LANGTANG AREA

Although less frequented than the famous Everest and Annapurna routes, the Langtang area offers many advantages to trekkers. To begin with, the starting point of the trek in this area can be reached quickly and easily from Kathmandu. It does not include really high altitudes, it abounds in nature (rhododendron forests, wild orchids wild animals) with stunningly beautiful scenery, and the trail takes trekkers through quaint villages showcasing the major ethnic groups of Nepal. The only drawback of these treks, however, is that they do not afford as much mountain viewing. For mountain viewing, trekkers have the option of climbing to the higher parts of this area

THE HELAMBU TREK
This is the most easily accessible trekking region. The Helambu trek starts from Sundarijal and makes a loop through Sherpa country.
