SUNKOSHI : 8 Days (Eastern Nepal)

The Sunkoshi is the second most famous river for rafting in Nepal due to its duration and wild rapids. Minimum of 8 days is required for rafting in this river and from the starting of the rafting you will meet the road only in the last day of your trip. During this period you will pass through several beautiful villages, farms and jungles of the remote part of Nepal crossing 5 + class of rapids.

ITINERARY
Day one
Our private coach leaves Kathmandu at 08.00 A.M. and you will have your lunch
at Put in Point (Dolalghat). You are requested to listen carefully to the paddling
instruction and safety talk which will guide you during your expeditions. The
rapids during this day are easier and will help you to practice the paddling
techniques.
Day
two/three/four
These days will warm you up and you will start to dream about further days.
Just after your breakfast (3rd day) you will cross the wildest rapids of
Sunkoshi,
paddling through the 4-5 class. You are requested not to forget those safety
talk which was given at the Put in Point.
Day
five/six/ seven
During these days you will be crossing plenty of rapids through the Jungle Corridor.
Day seventh, the last day of your trip, will provide you few excellent rapids.
If you are interested our guide will show you the Hindu gods of Barahi temple
in Chatara. After your temple visit you will paddle for half an hour to the
take out point.
The
eighth day
After early morning breakfast at 05:30 A.M, we will leave for Kathmandu.
The journey back takes 12 hours. Lunch will be provided on the way and dinner
is not included.

Day
01
Departure from Kathmandu at 0600 hours to Birendranagar (Surkhet). Lunch will
be provided on the way and after 11 hours of journey, we will set up our camp
few Kilometers before Surkhet.

02
You will have your breakfast at 07.00 A.M. then we will continue our journey
by the same coach to Kalyan-danda. This journey will take us 4 hours by rough
road and we will unload the gear. You will walk for one and half hours to the
river. Overnight at camp by the river bank.
Day
03
After breakfast, we will pack your belongings into the waterproof bag and load
them into the raft. Listen carefully to the Paddling Instruction and safety
talk . You will get the best rapids which will help you to practice your paddling
technique.
Day
04-07
You will be paddling through the Canyon hitting the wildest rapids of the river.
Your journey crossing the beautiful landscape will be remarkable with thrilling
rapid and paddling

08
The river during this day will be gentle providing you enough time to rest after
4 days of continuous paddling.
Day
09
This is the last day of amazing expedition. You will have your lunch at the
take out point (Chisapani). We will finish our trip early noon and pack our
expedition gears. Overnight at camp.

10
You will have your breakfast early in the morning at 05.30 A.M. and our private
coach leaves to Kathmandu at 07.00 AM which takes 13 hrs. You will have your
lunch on the way and dinner is not included.

Our private coach leaves to Besisahar at 07.00 A.M. Lunch will be provided
on the way. We will set up our camp at Besisahar .

02
Take your breakfast early in the Morning and get ready to walk for 6 hrs. Lunch
will be provided at the put in point. You are requested to listen carefully
to the safety talk and paddling instruction incase one has to face with misfortune.
We will camp at Bhulbhule after 2-3 hours of paddling.
Day
03/04
You will be paddling through continuous rapids. This section will be excellent
for photography because the south Annapurna will always be behind you.

05
You will be crossing many wild rapids but the paddling will be much easier
than the previous days.

06
You will be paddling through few rapids before reaching the take out point.
Lunch will be provided at the take out Point and the dinner is not included.
This river is not recommended for people with heart problem.
