FIXED DEPARTURE TOUR
Every year we operate FIXED DEPARTURE tour to Mt. Kailash for the above programs each year. Fixed departure program provides an unique opportunity to visit this holy mountain by  joining group from Kathmandu which makes the trip much more economy and convenient. The only draw back of the trip is that clients have to join other people from any corner of the world and will have to travel according to scheduled date. But sometimes meeting people from different part of the world can create fond memories. For the year 2000 following are the date and price for Fixed departure trip to Mt. Kailash.

From Saga we continue trip to Lhasa  spending one night at each place such as Lhasa, Shigatse and Gyantse. Before reaching Lhasa, we have also included sightseeing in Sakya, Shigatse and Gyantse. In Lhasa we spend  two full days exploring the city before flying back to Kathmandu.

The trip can be extended to Toiling and Tsaparang driving back to Lhasa via Northern route with extra 3 days. We spend total 7 nights in a hotel or guest house which includes 1 night stay at Nyalam, Lhatse, Shigatse, Gyantse and 3 nights in Lhasa. At Nyalam and Lhatse we stay in a Guest house but in Shigatse & Gyantse we stay in a Hotel (Shadong Mansion and Gyantse hotel). While in Lhasa we stay in Mandala or Similar type of middle class hotel. Please note that we have included only breakfast while you are staying in a hotel.

ITINERARY

Day 01	Drive Kathmandu to Kodari and to Nyalam, overnight at guest house
Day 02	Drive from Nyalam to Paiku Tsho, overnight at camp
Day 03	Rest day in Paiku Tsho for aclimatization, overnight at camp
Day 04	Drive from Paiku Tsho to Saga, overnight at camp
Day 05	Drive to Parayang, overnight at camp
Day 06	Drive to Manasarovar, overnight at camp
Day 07	Drive to Darchen and prepare for trek, overnight at camp
Day 08-10	Mt.Kailash Circuit Trek and back to Darchen .
Day 11-12	Drive back to Saga through the same route.
Day 13	Drive to Lhatse, overnight at lodge/guest house
Day 14	Drive to Sajya via Sakya Monastery, overnight hotel
Day 15	Sightseeing in Gyantse and Shigatse, overnight in Gyantse
Day 16	Drive to Lhasa via Yamdrok Lake, overnight at hotel
Day 17-18	Sightseeing in Lhasa ( 6 places), overnight at hotel
Day 19	Drive to airport anf fly back to Kathmandu.

We start our journey flying to Nepalganj (in west Nepal) from Kathmandu and spend a night in a hotel. Next day we fly to Simikot in Humla District of Nepal and start our trek of 6-7 days to reach Nepal Tibet border (Sher). During the trek you will encounter lots of waterfalls, beautiful hills and mountain (from distance).

On reaching Sher we meet our chaffuer and Tibetan guide and drive for 2 more days to Mt. Kailash. We finish our Kailash circuit and drive back to Takla kot/Sher  visiting and staying one night at Lake Manasarovar.   From Sher it is again 5-7 days trek back to Simikot where we board a flight back to Kathmandu.

Cost  Include
1) All transfer by Jeep and Truck  inside Tibet  and Van/ Mini Bus/ Bus in Nepal

5) Twin share tented accommodation with three times meals a day while at camp

1) Lunch, Dinner and beverages while staying in a hotel.
2) Medical expenses, rescue operation, insurance and Evacuation, incase of need.
3) Photography charges in the monastery & Re-entry visa fee for Nepal.
4) Any other cost arisen during the trip, not mentioned in the "Cost Include" section.
5) China Visa fee and re- entry visa fee to Nepal.

TRANSIT KATHMANDU
While you are in Kathmandu we offer you special packge for your stay of 3 nights.
Day 01 :  We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to hotel.
Day 02 :  We will take you for a half day sightseeing of the valley.
Day 03 :  We leave for our trip to Mt. Kailash
              After finishing our trip we transfer you to your hotel.
Day 04 : Free in the morning and afternoon half day sightseeing of city.
Day 05 : Transfer to airport for your final departure. Cost(per person and in US$)

Cost Include
Two half day sightseeing in Kathmandu with a guide and entrance fees. Airport arrival and departure transfers. Twin share accommodation with breakfast only at the chosen hotel.

Cost Exclude
All personal expenses with lunch and dinner. Airport departure taxes etc.

Clothing: Warm clothings are always a must for the trip. All trekking gears such as down jacket, sleeping bags,  shirts, comfortable walking shoes, long johns, trousers and skirts, sweaters, jackets, dust masks, shocks, sun hats, sun glasses, suntan lotion, utility knife, water bottles/ thermos, flashlights, water purifying tablets, first aid kit, toilet & tissue papers are important through out the trip.

Health: Travelling in Tibet  mostly in Mt. Kailash region involves high altitude & can be strenuous. Person having blood, lungs & heart problems should consult their doctor before taking any decision regarding the trip though very few cases of altitude sickness have been reported. Simple headache, fever, loss of appetite or stomach disorder can happen before acclimatization.

Accommodation: We will be arranging your accommodation while you are with us. We use  high altitude twin tents. Tented accommodation includes two men tent with mass tent for kitchen and  toilet tents for toilet. Tent for just single person can be arranged after the payments of single supplement or upon request  while booking the trip. While in Zhangmo, Shigatse Gynatse, Lhasa we will be using middle hotel & in Lhasa we will be using hotel Himalaya/ Sunlight /similar on double occupancy basis. Rooms here are not that of western standard, so we request you not to expect the same as you get in your country or in Nepal. Please note our cost includes only breakfast while you are in a hotel.

Tibet /China Visa: For Tibet/China Visa, details of  client willing to travel to Tibet /Mt. Kailash must be sent to us six weeks prior to tour departure. We need 20 clear full working days and clients or their passport should be available to us at least a week prior of departure in Kathmandu. Please note that Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu is open thrice a week  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 am to 11:30 am for visa purpose.

Booking Condition
Booking should be made as early as possible and must be confirmed atleast 8-10 weeks in advance.    A booking form with full passport details including present home address and occupation, should reach us with the 40 % payment of the trip. Payment can be made by bank transfers or can be paid directly at our office by cash, draft , travelers cheque.  Balance payment  must be made a week before departure.

Cancellation and refund policy
There will be a cancellation charge of 50% for confirmed booking up to 14 days prior to departure. No refund will be made for the cancellation  made within a week of departure. No refund  for no shows ups, delayed arrival or what ever the reason may be from the clients side. A separate form has to be signed by the clients before departure accepting the terms and condition of the trip  which will be the official contract between clients and Shiva Travels

NOTE
IF ANY CLIENTS CAN NOT OR DO NOT WANT TO GO FOR MT. KAILASH CIRCLE CLIENTS CAN STAY IN DARCHEN GUEST HOUSE. HOWEVER EXTRA COST OF HOTEL MUST BE BORNE BY THE CLIENTS OR BOOKING AGENTS.

ANY MEANS OF RESCUE OPERATION COST IS EXTRA AND NO INSURANCE COST HAS BEEN INCLUDED. IF CLIENTS NEED RESCUE OPERATION OR EVACUATION EXTRA COST MUST BE BORNE BY THE CLIENTS OR BOOKING AGENT. HOWEVER OUR STAFFS ARE INSURED AGAINST ANY ACCIDENTS.

IF CLIENTS LIKE TO UPGRADE THEIR HOTEL STANDARD EXTRA COST ARISEN MUST BE BORNE BY THE CLIENTS.
